San Marco Preservation Society Office Administrator Position
The San Marco Preservation Society is a 501(c)(3) created and directed by a volunteer board of neighbors whose mission is to preserve and renew the San Marco, Jacksonville, Florida neighborhood as an area of historical and architectural significance, while providing education and enjoyment for the benefit of its residents, businesses, visitors, and the community at large. This position will support the Board of Directors and the organization’s operations and priorities.
Office Administrator – 10 office hours (M, W, and F roughly 9:00 to 12:00) and up to 10 remote hours per week, with some flexibility.
*Proficient experience in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Square, PayPal, and Constant Contact
*Basic computer skills
*Excellent attention to detail
*Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
*Professional and courteous both in person and in written communication
Responsibilities and Duties:
*Manage and reply to inbound calls and messages (voice and emails)
*Greets visitors and directs them to the appropriate person or place
*Opens and distributes mail and coordinates the flow of information within the organization
*Manages office services such as equipment, supplies, and general office maintenance
*Ongoing management of membership database and platform
*Assists the SMPS Communications Committee, as requested
*Records, coordinates, and places orders for personalized bricks
*Prepares and makes bank deposits
*Assists with special events registration and reservation
*Coordinates event schedules, payments, and other information with SMPS Preservation Hall Coordinator; supports Preservation Hall operations as needed
*Promotes the overall health, wellness, success, and vitality of the San Marco community
