Maintains database of interested volunteers; tracks past volunteerism; solicits volunteers for current projects or initiatives of the organization.

Oversees maintenance, catalog, and preservation of historical material in office; maintains historic homes list and serves as resource for historic designation; coordination with the Jax Historical Society, Library, and other neighborhood organizations; active conservation and protection of physical locations, documents, and landmarks significant to the history and identity of San Marco.
implements bicycle- & pedestrian-friendly initiatives as well as parking alternatives & solutions; promotes the walkability and bikeability of San Marco; works with Events Committee to arrange pedestrian- and bike-friendly events.
Responsible for overseeing maintenance, furnishing, cleaning, operations, advertising for, and success of Preservation Hall and Stockton Cottage.
Acts as JSO Sheriff’s Watch sub-sector representative; liaises with JSO regarding neighborhood public safety concerns; works with City Neighborhoods Dept. to address nuisances that may impact public safety or the perception of such.
Formally registered position with the COJ on behalf of the SMPS; liaises between CPAC and BOD. Must be nominated by SMPS, approved by Neighborhoods Dept., and appointed by the Mayor.
Committee coordinates with area festivals, San Marco artists, art galleries, and studios; proactive identification, planning, and funding of public art projects.
Proactively researches, identifies, & coordinates application for appropriate grants based on the needs and priorities of the community and organization.
Stays up-to-date on legislative proposals at the COJ level that may affect the San Marco community; educates the BOD about such issues
Responsible for organization & production of SMPS-sponsored events in order to raise funds, build the greater San Marco community, and encourage membership.
Responsible for monitoring & educating the BOD about potential or imminent development in San Marco; coordinates the involvement of the BOD in proposed or underway projects in order to improve their outcome(s) for the San Marco community.
