February Newsletter: Big Announcements!

San Marco’s Centennial

On Sept. 12, 1925, developer Telfair Stockton opened sales for residential lots in the newly designed, Venice-inspired San Marco neighborhood. Every lot sold in a single day! San Marco remains a beloved community to residents and visitors alike.

The San Marco Preservation Society invites you to participate in a year-long celebration and commemoration of San Marco’s Centennial in 2025!

A communitywide Centennial Committee has been convened that will soon roll out an event line-up with something for everyone — concerts, history tours, preservation projects, lectures, and a signature gala. In collaboration with partner organizations and the City of Jacksonville, the San Marco celebrations will be rocking all year long!

Join the SMPS as we celebrate our neighborhood’s first 100 years, and work to preserve, protect, and renew all that we love about San Marco for its next 100.
